Terms of Service
Effective October 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of OGImg (the "Service"), operated by the OGImg team from Indonesia ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The Service
OGImg is an API that renders dynamic images — primarily Open Graph social preview images — from HTML, CSS, and structured parameters you provide, using a headless browser rendering engine. We also offer a free OG tag checker tool and a template editor for saving reusable designs. Full technical details of what the API accepts and returns are in our documentation, which is part of these Terms by reference.
3. Accounts & API Keys
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys, and for all activity that happens under them. Notify us immediately if you suspect a key has been compromised — you can revoke and regenerate keys at any time from your dashboard. You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate, host, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful to others;
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security controls (including using the URL-fetch or rendering features to probe, scan, or attack internal or third-party network infrastructure);
- Reverse engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without our prior written consent;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure;
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, depending on severity.
5. Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to the HTML, CSS, images, templates, and other content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and render Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service — including caching rendered output so repeat requests don't re-render unnecessarily. You're responsible for having the rights to any content, images, fonts, or logos you submit, including anything referenced by URL.
6. Plans, Billing & Payment
We offer a Free plan and paid subscription plans (Starter, Pro, Agency) billed monthly, described on our pricing page. All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our payment processor and Merchant of Record — Paddle handles billing, tax, and payment card data; we never receive or store your card details. Paid plans automatically renew each billing cycle until canceled. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
7. Cancellation & Refunds
You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your billing dashboard — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep paid-plan access through that period with no further charges after. If a scheduled payment fails, we keep your plan active for a 3-day grace period before downgrading to the Free plan. When we refund a payment, and when you may ask for one, is set out in our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep the Service reliably available but don't currently guarantee any specific uptime commitment or service-level agreement. We may perform maintenance, and rarely, the Service may be unavailable due to factors outside our control. We'll make reasonable efforts to communicate significant planned downtime in advance.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its name, logo, and underlying software (excluding Your Content), is our property or that of our licensors, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings, which permanently removes your account, API keys, templates, and usage history. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, non-payment, or extended inactivity, with notice where practical.
11. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the effective date above when we do, and for material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g. by email). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
